Thanks for the update/wake-up-slap! Although, I will say that I do like the light which they emit. (But that is subjective, and I am not lighting anything particularly large.).Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8508419.post-25025047803062970772007-02-01T02:16:00.000-05:002007-02-01T02:16:00.000-05:00One wonders, idly, if the resources consumed in pr...One wonders, idly, if the resources consumed in producing the bulbs are more than offset by the savings in electricity.

I use them outside and in hard-to-reach places. But any woman will tell you -- especially if said woman is your wife -- that the light is too "harsh" and it makes putting on make-up a pain.

I can detect the minute flickers in the brightness, and it perturbs me when I think about it too much.

But, perhaps one day they'll get a nice, sunshiny warm glow from these. It could happen.

In the meantime, are you sure these are California reps? (not because they save energy, if anything, that is a reason to reject them). But they give off a whiter light. An engineer friend of mine said that these bulbs give off light in a very wide spectrum (thus the appearance of light which is whiter than your typical bulb). When I tell my moonbat associates that I like them because of their glow, they look at me with that confused expression. Apparently, one is not supposed to enjoy technology, but rather one must use it to serve their Gaian Goddess. Or something like that.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8508419.post-82442792111691419672007-01-31T12:42:00.000-05:002007-01-31T12:42:00.000-05:00Note to California Politicians:
