Global Warming Averted

Yeah for YOU! You stopped global warming!
(I was beginning to think nobody would ever click that link)

Whew, that was a close one, but you did it.

Hey, America thanks you, the penguins thank you.
Now go about your business.

Hahahahahaha

Danger Room noticed the discrepancy, the million-strong group with 21 members. What it is, is a few lefties who don't want to keep Robert Gates on as sec-def. Maybe they're expecting a rush of new members after "Holidays" when people are less busy. (protesting Creches, knocking over Menorahs, killing mall-Santas etc.)

I will admit though: "1,000,000 Strong Against Keeping Secretary Of Defense Robert Gates," does sound better than: "Luke, Todd, MaryAnn, and Friends Against Keeping Secretary Of Defense Robert Gates."

One Born Every Minute

Some clever guy realized: anyone dumb enough to want the underwear a sports star wore in a game is also going to be dumb enough to believe you when you say that that is what you're selling.

Next Senator

Sure the Blagojevich scandal is riveting, especially now that there are reports that the Glowing One did meet with the Blago. But keep your eyes open for this next appointment scandal; it could be even better. From the Brisbane Times:

The star of "The Nanny" television comedy series wants to go from playing nasally New Yawkers to succeeding Hillary Rodham Clinton in the US Senate.

Publicist Jordan Brown delivered the straight line that Fran Drescher is serious about becoming the next junior senator from New York.

Brown cited Drescher's experience as an actress, advocate for women's health and public diplomacy envoy for the US State Department.....

New York Governor David Paterson will appoint Clinton's successor if she is confirmed secretary of state in the Obama administration.

Yes, that's the same David Paterson who confessed to extramarital affairs on his first day as governor. I have to admit, I thought the guy was a breath of fresh air at the time. Well, either that or he has a blurting problem. One of those serial confessors.

Seven-Eleven Clerk: "That will be $4.16"
Paterson: "I can't lie to you! I took a sip of coffee, and then refilled the cup to the brim.
Seven-Eleven Clerk: "That's ok sir, that will be $4.16."
Paterson: "And I put three extra creams in my pocket!"
Seven-Eleven Clerk: "Sir there are people in line...."
Paterson: "And I've been trying to sleep with Fran Drescher!"
Seven-Eleven Clerk: "With Fran Drescher, you could sleep?"

Just wait. If Hillary gets the thumbs up, I'm betting the farm on Fran.

Spotty Participation

Darn, a Day Without Gay came and went and I was oblivious. Just as well, I was kinda under the impression that everyone was supposed to go around all somber.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - A daylong work stoppage for which people were encouraged to call in "gay" to express support for same-sex marriage drew spotty participation Wednesday, with some gay rights activists praising the event and others questioning its value.

People who opted to take the day off from their jobs as part of the national "Day Without a Gay" were encouraged to perform community service, and charitable organizations across the country said they had volunteers showing up.

My first thought: "But who will arrange the flowers?"

Second thought: "Why weren't either of my two contacts at the weapons manufacturing installation at work today?" I'll have to make an effort not to crack wise when I next see them.

Hey Dad, You Won't Believe This...

Elizabeth, a Senior in Cleveland went on a class trip where she lost her virginity on the beach. Apparently it was “gr8″.

We know this because young Lizzy was so excited about her conquest she texted her friend, except it wasn’t her friend, she had accidentally texted her dad. Class trip finished. Cue a slap to the forehead and wide spread humiliation on the interwebs.

Friends of Santa

I'll probably miss someone, well in fact I know I'm missing several, but in response to a shamless plea by Wrymouth, here's a partial list of like minded revolutionaries:
Wrymouth, Stonestead, Such is Life, OMMAG, Moonbat, Oregonguy, Head Noises, Gates of Vienna, Ballotsoapjuryammo, Nightwriter Blog, Clue Meeter, Doc Rampage, Turban Bomb, I Dunno, Lock and Load, 4 Borders Pundit ...
This will have to do for now... work awaits.

"We" Had No Contact?

Maybe we listen differently since the Clinton years: I couldn't help but wonder about the significance of the president-elect's mid-sentence correction when he said, "I had no contact with the governor or his office, and so we were not, - uh I was not aware of what was happening."

Does the switch from "we were not" to "I was not" mean that someone in his office was in contact and aware of what was happening? We'll most likely find out if they were. But putting all the cards on the table now would go a long way towards this open and honest government myth that Obama ran on, you doofus.

Sorry, I didn't mean to call any of you a doofus, I just didn't want to end the sentence with a preposition.

Stealth Party

Amazing. ABC writes it "motherf***er" in an effort to accurately report the news on Gov. Blagojevich, but they can't bring themselves to write "D*m*crat"
