Rageboy and McKayla Are Not Impressed

Cheat: I rediscovered Hillary and Rageboy while searching for a rageboy to stick McKayla in. The Hillary one was a good afternoon's work. But what's work when you're having fun?

OK Maybe Just One More

From the People Who Brought You Julia

At a Colorado campaign stop yesterday, Obama told the crowd that he needs to be reelected because, “We’ve got too many good jobs we’ve got to create.” Do you see the evil genius at work here?

The big brains were gathered around after the election and one fool said, "OK now we can set about the work of fixing the country, lowering the oceans, improving the lunar orbit, and getting Simon and Garfunkel back together." But Obama took the reins, "You idiot. We need to get reelected in four years. They elected me as a problem solver, and I'll need problems to solve to get reelected" So they rolled up their sleeves and got busy not fixing the problems.

But they did better than just not fixing what was broke, they broke extra stuff so we'd have even more incentive to call them back for an encore.

Example: The White House sent me a graphic showing how we could save $1.16 trillion if we would just go-with-the-O for four more years. (the green bar) So I used that scale to show the debt Obama has already run up. (the red bar) The graphic was so big I had to cut it in half to have even a chance of reading the words. You can clickabiggen if it's still not big enough.

It's not every president who has a "continued next page" next to his debt.

OK so never mind that the green bar represents an optimistic projection from the Obama budget that he couldn't get even one Democrat in the House to support. Call the green bar a given. It would still take almost 44 years to pay off just what Obama has added in debt so far in his presidency.

And who really thinks that we'll have a surplus (at all) if we reelect Obama? Isn't it more likely that he'll give us another red bar very much like the one he's already given us? Do you see lowered oceans? Is Guantanamo Bay closed? Are Simon and Garfunkel coming to a venue near you?

McKayla is Not Impressed

Lumberbrudi and Dave clued me into McKayla is Not Impressed at the same time, so, thanks guys. It is a great pose but it's also entirely understandable. She was frustrated by not getting the gold. I know it took me many years to come to terms with not bringing home the gold.

Check out the site, it's a meme thing.

Oh Come Let Us Adore Him

This is what it's about: Obama being adored by a middle aged college student who resents having to pay for her own contraceptives. Limbaugh was right to call her a slob.

To Mars!

Here's the funny thing, Mars has a very thin atmosphere that is 95% carbon dioxide. There is hardly any (I guess we'll find out how much) water, the daytime temperature averages 20 degrees F, and at night it drops down to -120 degrees. Yet we consider colonizing it. It looks like we might be able to do it. We probably can.

But we're afraid of the temperature here on earth going up 2 degrees. What? carbon dioxide has gone up to 395 parts per million? (that's less than 4/100's of one percent) Why, we'll all be killed!

And never mind that allowing the third world into the first world is the biggest problem re the CO2 "catastrophe". It can't be averted by you and I bicycling to work or buying $100k electric cars. Keeping most of China in the stone age is what's required. Keeping India in the dark would help. We've already lost Canada when we taught them to read. No they've probably got cars. (sorry OMMAG)

But I say let's do it. Let's colonize Mars and allow the third world to grow. But to do any of that we have to allow the biggest economic engine in the history of the world to start up again. We need to rebury Marx and put the postmodernist behind us.

I've got two words: "Merica!" (twice)

Decline

You know, in the back of my mind, I hold on to the hope that we'll be able to clean up Obama's mess after he's gone. In the front of my mind though, I have to admit that some things are going to be left unfixable.

Mark Steyn writes about one such mess - the deep-sixing of the Keystone Pipeline:

America had been offered first refusal, and had refused it. So, after they got over being shocked, Canada looked elsewhere for business partners. Last week, the Chinese announced they were buying a Canadian company with major interests in those oil sands that Obama & Co have no interest in. Whatever one’s feelings about this Sino-Canuck deal, it does not appear to fall under the jurisdiction of a New York senator and a Massachusetts congressman. Nevertheless:

I am speaking, of course, of Senator Charles Schumer of New York and Representative Edward Markey of Massachusetts, both of whom have decided we are in a position to tell a Chinese company that it cannot acquire a Canadian company because… well, because we’re Americans and the world has to pay attention to what we say.

Call it the Keystone Pipe Dream. Obama thinks we won't need oil once we get every square foot of the US covered by windmills and solar cells. He's wrong.

Horns?

I think Rosie suggested it, I just move stars around. So, IRS, don't blame me.
