Let's be Fair Now

Jonah Goldberg noticed:

...this is very disturbing news. According to the BLS, in 2011 there were 112,564,000 full time jobs. That means the sequester will not only destroy every fulltime job in America, it will go on to wipe out an additional 58 million jobs — give or take — that don’t even exist yet.

Oh, puhleese, Mr. G, you know that was just a slip of the tongue. If you add up all the losses claimed by each government department and agency, it becomes clear that she meant to say 170 billion. (with a 'b')

About That Sequester

The administration has been looking for ways to minimize the impact of sequestration. (sequestration - also known as "the Republicans' plan to ruin just everything")

Releasing illegal immigrants, denying police departments bullets, and firing teachers has saved some money, but not quite enough according to the administration. Next they plan to cut off water to all local fire departments.

"That might just do it," said one administration official, "If it doesn't, we may have to go back and restart some fires just to recoup some of the water we've already used." When it was pointed out that that was a stupid idea, he replied, "And releasing illegal immigrants isn't?"

I Finds the Cute

An my work here is done. (don't be surprised if I work "my work is done" into almost every post -- I'm trying to get google to notice that phrase)

Grey Poupon "The Lost Footage"

You might remember the original if you're old enough. At one time the Grey Pou was the mustard to have if you wanted to be considered a serious eatist. My mouth says the wine taste is "brutal with a hint of Jack Boot." I can think of a half dozen mustards I like better. Including Nathan's Famous Coney Island Mustard. Mmmmm, makes me want a hot dog, but I'll probably settle for a cold pop tart this time of night.

With Sequestration, Make that 1201

That's right, there will be more emos with sequestration.

Another Consequence of Sequestration

I've already seen this. Probably it's happening because companies anticipate trouble down the road.

(not sure how this will help)

Consequences of Sequestration

Al Sharpton claims we can expect more male pattern baldness should the sequester kick in.

Joe Biden, Master Strategist

Were You Scared? I Wasn't Scared

On an advertising shoot for washing machines in Canada to show off the cold wash performance, the Samsung crew are surprised when a bear wanders into the shoot location.

Sequestration Was Obama's Idea

Now sequestration will be the ruination of us all, according to Obama. (and it won't be good for me personally) But Woodward reported that it was an administration idea in the first place; and now Senator Baucus confirms it.

It's time for the president to put away his golf clubs and sit down with Congress to make the cuts we need to avoid ending up like Greece. You promised balance Obama, now it's time for the spending cuts part of the balance.

Obama: My Work Here is Done

It's official, the My Work Here is Done shop is open. (is it working yet? I think so)

So be there, Do that, Get the T-shirt.
