The NYT Covers for the Jackass

I gotta say, the little prof has a point. How could anyone look at what was said and at Kerry's "notes" and conclude that only one word was changed? This is blatant Pravda crap. The only people they can hope to fool with this are the clueless few who get all their information from the NYT in the first place. (the Democrat base?) Well, maybe this is good news. It sure smells like desperation to me.

***Update: NYT goes ooops:
A Political Memo article yesterday about the fallout for Senator John Kerry over what he called a “botched joke” referred incompletely to the differences between prepared remarks and what he actually said about the Iraq war to students at Pasadena City College in California on Monday. Mr. Kerry not only dropped the word “us,” but he also rephrased his opening sentence extensively and omitted a reference to President Bush. Mr. Kerry’s aides said that the prepared text read: “Do you know where you end up if you don’t study, if you aren’t smart, if you’re intellectually lazy? You end up getting us stuck in a war in Iraq. Just ask President Bush.” What he said: “You know, education, if you make the most of it, you study hard, you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. If you don’t, you get stuck in Iraq.”
How versatile is that? Keeps the counter from getting stained, keeps bread crumbs off the coffee spoon, and tracks liberal bias and inaccuracies in the news. Let's see the gravy boat match that.

Kerry Gets Spoonboated

Me, I was willing to let Kerry's insensitive and condescending remarks drop. I mean he did pretend to apologize, so I should pretend to be mollified. And I'd like to let it go, but this German professor in coffee stains has found his legs and he just won't shut-up about it.

Botched Joke

These John Kerry jokes are not new.

Strange Face on My Counter

No, it's not a party song from the 80's. This is what I'm talking about:

This is the spoon-boat thing that sits next to the coffee maker. It's where you put the spoon after stirring the wonderful brew. Anyway, I look down as I'm stirring and there's this German-professor face staring back at me. Can you see it?

Sure, I know it's not Mary on a potato chip, but it's something right?

Maybe I haven't had enough coffee yet.

Maybe I've had much too much.

Can You See it Now?

Not to cause alarm or anything, but when I put the hat on him, I thought I heard him say something. That can't be... right? He was probably just clearing his throat.

Spooky

I was a little disconcerted when I opened Yahoo's most-popular photos and saw the nightmare that had been chasing me all night. What are the odds, I thought. Then I realized, I dream of Martha Stewart, in a cat suit, chasing me every night. So whenever this photo came out, it would seem like a strange coincidence.

Everywhere

This image really is everywhere. Too many places to H/T but Michelle Malkin is who I stole it from. Three things you can tell from this image: 1) these guys are not dumb 2) these guys are not dumb and c.) these guys are not dumb.

Too Rich to Dress-up

Drive traffic here with Paris Hilton photos? Me? Don't be silly. No, I thought people would want to see her Halloween costume. Darned shame, she seems to be wearing her everyday clothes in this one. Maybe she changed later.

Eyes Wide Shut

Sure, keeping your eyes open is one way to
do it but some of us are too smart to open
our eyes and risk serious injury.

John Kerry Was Talking About Bush...

??? Really? I guess some people really think he meant to say, "...and if you don't study, you get elected president and get us stuck in Iraq.."
Which, of course is sooo funny.

And when he accused US soldiers of "going into the homes of Iraqis in the dead of night, terrorizing kids and children, you know, women, breaking sort of the customs of the—of—the historical customs, religious customs." That was also Bush he meant, though it was even less "funny".

And when he said that soldiers in Vietnam "raped, cut off ears, cut off heads, taped wires from portable telephones to human genitals and turned up the power, cut off limbs, blown up bodies, randomly shot at civilians, razed villages in fashion reminiscent of Ghengis Khan, shot cattle and dogs for fun, poisoned food stocks, and generally ravaged the countryside of South Vietnam," that, too, was Bush, whoops Nixon, he was talking about.

Anyway, I just found out from the Corner, John Kerry's "Future Events" page has been taken down and replaced with an image of Edward Munch's Despair.

And in case I haven't said it yet, Thank you, John.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
