Kofi breaks bad

Secretary-General condemns suicide car bombing in Iraq 'in the strongest possible terms'

The Secretary-General appeals to all Iraqis to refrain from all acts of violence, put aside their differences and work together in a spirit of national reconciliation. Ultimately, the foundations of a new Iraq can only be built through peaceful means, based on dialogue, mutual understanding and compromise. The United Nations will continue to stand by the Iraqi people in this process.

OK, so now we're making progress. Kofi has brought out the strong rhetoric. Just a matter of time before all resistance crumbles then.

Odd News

This is how pandas play. No, it's not news but the most
e-mailed Yahoo news story is about a man arrested for um,
nonstandard interaction with calves. And the most e-mailed news
photo is of an Indian woman breast feeding a monkey. So pandas
it is.
Still waiting for the mother of all snow storms. It's
looking rather wimpy so far. That's ok with me.

The Jury

From the Daily Record:

JACKSON JURY HAS NO BLACKS

Feb 24 2005

THE jury that could put Michael Jackson behind bars for the rest of his life was chosen yesterday.

The panel of eight women and four males was picked after just six days of jury selection.

But there are no black jurors in the line-up.

I don't think a lack of blacks on the jury will hurt Michael. It could
be that the lack of space-aliens will though. "I demand a jury of my peers."

Let's sit here and ponder

No sun for us.

They're talking about 8 inches, well, one report was for 5.
So no sunny day for us. Still, the forest can be nice in the
snow.
