Just a question: Who are the protests aimed at?
As far as I can tell, everyone in the country is sickened by George Floyd's death. Nobody is defending the cop. I mean nobody, I haven't heard a single defense of his actions. We are all sickened by what he did.
I can see memorial services and gatherings. They are needed, but anger at all cops is misplaced. Anger at that particular police department may be warranted but it should be used to demand change to procedures and accountability within that department.

Everything You Need to Know About the China Wuhan Socialist Covid19 Virus
What complicates finding the answers is the news media's crusade to Get the Orange Man. I get some satisfaction when they make fools of themselves but really, this unrelenting enmity is doing us harm.
The president has been making some momentous decisions in these last few months. He's probably made some mistakes, as anyone would have considering the sketchy information we started with. He's also made some good calls, as many presidents would have. Heck even Hillary would have gotten some things right. But I can't help but wonder if some of these fundamental decisions were influenced by a (justified) fear of being ripped apart by the Harpies in the news media.
Did we take the safe path when a little bolder course of action was called for? Are we wasting resources to cover potential problems that may never come to pass?
I'd like all our executive decisions to be based solely on the best facts we have available at any given time. It would be nice if cover-your-ass never entered into it. And to whatever extent CYA does enter into it, I blame the media, not Trump.

Day 5 and the Toilet Paper Has Run Out

| IR Dog |
So the dog. I got a new phone with an infrared camera and I'm practicing with it. Why would you want an infrared camera? Well they can be used as an aid to troubleshooting electronics. See the picture? Well if I suspected that Mr Beasley (the dog) had an electrical fault, the picture would tell me to begin by checking at his right eye. He doesn't have a fault though, in fact he just had a tune-up.
So OK I'm bored. The good news is that my boredom has motivated me to grow spiritually. And, little known fact here, maximum spiritual growth comes from playing Candy Crush and writing snarky Amazon reviews. So turns out spirituality was right in my wheelhouse. Quarantine has just sharpened my skills but turns out I was going in the right direction all along.
I hope everyone is having a nice quarantine. Back to work now, I've got an amazon foot massager that is suffering from review deficiency. Gonna fix that.

Now WithThe Master of Ashes on Both Front and Back

My Work Here Is Done! Mugs
That's right, the long uncomfortable fever dream is almost over. Why not punctuate it with a mug? I usually don't use mugs for informational purposes, (except for designation of #1 Dad status) but this time it's different. This is the mug we rise from the ashes with. Mmmmm, coffee and ashes.
