There Goes My Halloween Photoshop

She slapped the Wacom stylus right out of my hand.

***Update: I added the Laugh, because the picture begs for it.... and then did the above video. But I promise, I'm not turning this into a Hillary's Laugh Blog. (again)

Hillanation

Hillary dropped the $5000 baby bonus and is now offering 401K's for everybody! Hot Air has got the story. She'll pay for it by transferring money from people who have too much anyway. So why would I be against this? Because history says I'll be paying for it. Doesn't matter how little she says it will cost, doesn't matter who she says will pay for it; if a Clinton wants to give you something, it's best to have orifice protectors handy.

It's the same thing with Government Health Care. We'll pay more and get less if the government runs the show.

BTW, anyone remember that Bill Clinton first ran on a platform of cutting taxes on the middle class? Then, remember him speaking from the oval office, shaking his head and sadly telling us, "I'm sorry, I've worked as hard as I could, so hard, so hard, but I just can't make the numbers fit" (or words to that effect) Then he raised taxes on social security recipients. Yeah, well I wasn't surprised. Just remember, fool me once: shame on you, fool me twice: shame on you, you stinkin democrat.

Thanks

This reminded me of Douglas Adams, "so long.... and thanks for the fish."

It came from here. Which is a quick and easy to send a thank-you to the troops. Why not check it out? You don't even have to think of the words to say if you're lexically-challenged, like me -- they have appropriate messages you can click on. Click "other" if you want to write your own. Go on, do it. Go.

Tuesday Ochie

So you're giving your presentation on firearm safety and accidentally shoot yourself in the foot. Not the metaphor, "shoot yourself in the foot," the shoe-ruining kind. To his credit, this officer carries on, in shock most likely, until those around him convince him that, ok, 'my work here is done.'

The foot has been ventilated within the first minute. Also, note the protests from the audience when he asks someone to hand him a more powerful weapon.

Data Pollution

"Hi, mom"

Seen this story, about three Einsteins in Cincinnati who glued a dollar bill to the sidewalk then went up eight stories to drop water balloons on the people who stopped to check out the immobile bill? One of them is pictured above. (pretty much, you can be sure you're dealing with the seriously stupid when they do the party-grin for the mug-shot. Nick Nolte, now there's a guy who knows how to do a mug-shot; I think I might have one of his shots -- I'll be sure to post it sometime)

Anyway, in the article a physics prof stated that a water balloon falling from an eight story building would be traveling at 60 miles per hour when it hit the ground. That didn't sound right so I thought I'd check his math... Course, we all know v=gt from countless physics tests, but I'd forgotten what g is. (9.81 m/s2) So I google "speed of an object falling story building", thinking it wouldn't hurt to have an estimate of how high an eight story building is. And the information was there in the first page of results. What was discouraging was that of the first ten entries, 7 were about the collapse of the WTC. How can there be that many stupid people out there? Is this the internet Al Gore worked so hard to invent? He must cry nightly.

BTW, could be the U of C prof and I differ on the height of a "story" (I used 3 meters) but I get 48.6 mph, still a pretty good speed for a conk on the head.

Miller Time

You may have seen that Michelle Malkin is taking Miller Beer to task for sponsoring the Folsom Street Fair. (faire?) And I agree that some things just shouldn't go on in public. The only conflict I have concerns the people getting flogged. They're all from San Fransisco, and, darnit, seems like many of them could use a flogging or two. Maybe this is how they kick their karma back into alignment for the year.

Oh and about the kids seeing this insanity -- any parent who would take their kid to something like this should, er, be flogged.

Media Mutters

Byron York got contacted:

Media Matters has taken offense at my statement yesterday that the liberal watchdog group is "an avowedly political institution." Not so, they say:

Media Matters is not, as the National Review claims, "an avowedly political institution," but a nonpartisan, progressive nonprofit that is unaffiliated with any political party or candidate.
I read that expecting that Byron was wrong -- only in that Media Matters doesn't avow anything. As in, "to acknowledge openly, boldly, and unashamedly". But they're calling themselves "progressive". Isn't "progressive" the word they switched to when "liberal" became a dirty word? Are there any "progressives" that aren't Democrats? So they do avow. Either that or they're moving on to a new descriptor. Lord knows their intentional misunderstandimating of the phrase "phony soldiers" should have shamed them into a name change.

Rush Limbaugh Beware

Elizabeth Edwards is on the prowl.

Unableebable

I have to say, I haven't been a big ditto-head. Mainly, I'll try to listen when Rush is making news -- that's when it gets interesting. But maybe I should start listening more often, because Rush is truly an amazing man.

Why is he amazing? Because he's done what I could never do: He's got Elizabeth Edwards, a woman who wants to become first lady of this land, talking about his ass. I mean, what are the odds? You could bet me a million dollars to a donut that any man could get a presidential candidate's wife to talk about another man's butt, and I would have turned down the bet.

Bravo Rush, you've got them discombobulated, flustered, and on the brink of twitterpation.

PS - Note to John Edwards: In this two Americas thing, does your wife discuss Rush Limbaugh's ass in both of them?
