Advice to CAIR

Again Reuters (pa-tui!):

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. Muslim groups criticized President George W. Bush on Thursday for calling a foiled plot to blow up airplanes part of a "war with Islamic fascists," saying the term could inflame anti-Muslim tensions.

U.S. officials have said the plot, thwarted by Britain, to blow up several aircraft over the Atlantic bore many of the hallmarks of al Qaeda.

"We believe this is an ill-advised term and we believe that it is counter-productive....... blah .. blah
Here's the advice: When the preacher starts the sermon about adulterers in the congregation, you don't stand up and say, "Stop calling us adulterers." He wasn't calling you an adulterer until you stood up and identified yourself.

The Accomplices

The video below makes clear that the man dubbed Green Helmet stage managed the exploitation of dead children for propaganda purposes. It does doesn't it? Can anyone deny that ordering several "takes" of the loading of a child's body onto an ambulance constitutes stage-managing? OK, so it is. Actually the EU Referendum piece convinced me, but this video should remove all doubt from any but the most closed minds. (and really, who cares what the Air America staff thinks?)

And it's no shock that Green Helmet did these things. Think of him as a soldier. He was doing his job. And it's no shock that there are no Lebanese voices condemning Green Helmet. Raising your voice in the Middle East is sometimes a risky proposition. But what is shocking is that in the media circus that was Qana that morning, nobody in the media reported the manipulation of these dead children. How many "news" people were there? Why did none of them speak out? My guess is that there was an understanding between Green Helmet and the newsies. Helmet wasn't trying to hide his actions. He was doing retakes in front of the cameras with the knowledge that the best images would be used and the flawed ones would be edited out. These news people weren't his dupes, they were his accomplices.

If the EU Referendum hadn't started the controversy, I doubt the German footage would have ever seen the light of day. Thankfully someone in the NDR did the right thing and released this "unpublished" video. Yeah you, whoever you are. You're now in the news business.

Stage managed? You Bet

Just in case there's any doubt about Green Helmet using and abusing dead children in his spoon-feeding of the foreign press.
h/t The Jawa Report and HotAir.

Plot

You just know that there are members of the Other Reality Club out there who are saying that the threat level was only raised to take attention away from the Glorious Lamont Win. My question is: Is anyone out there contending that these 24 terrorists only wanted to blow-up planes to take attention away from all those stage-managed and fake photographs?

Mike Wallace?

Via Hollywood Reporter:
[Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad] halfway through the interview asked Wallace: "I thought you had retired."

I'm not going to fault Ahmadinejad on this one. Retired? Hell, I thought he was dead. That reminds me, it's time to check on Ernest Borgnine and Abe Vigoda again.

Attention CAIR!

Reuters (pa-touie!):

LONDON (Reuters) - British police are holding 21 people in connection with what they said was a foiled plot to blow up several passenger planes flying between Britain and the United States, police said on Thursday.
You know what's sick? No, not the kidz who don't think the threat is real, what's sick is that some people will be concerned that racial profiling could have been involved.
ABC News has learned that two "significant arrests" in Pakistan in recent days may have significantly accelerated the pace of the investigation.

Also, I am entirely unconcerned about what methods were used to get the information from these guys. And now, should we find out that the toilets in their cells are oriented the wrong direction, well, let CAIR handle that. Give them designer toilets for all I care, just so long as they are located behind lots of iron bars.

Kos Kidz

Darn, now they're distracted from their Lamont celebrations by the need to discount terror threats. Life gets busy for the silly left. No matter. Their message is being heard loud and clear:

We're white, we're spoiled, and we're
not going to take it anymore!

Brussels Journal

Sounds like the bad old days behind the iron curtain:

This morning the police came to my door again to question me about allegedly racist articles on The Brussels Journal. I was not in. Tonight the local police phoned to “invite” me urgently to the police station......

"Racist articles" in Belgium are defined as anything anyone files a complaint about. It's political correctness carried way, way, way too far.

Victory?

I'm having a hard time seeing how this is a victory for the Democratic party. Now, when it's Lamont vs Lieberman and the Republicans are allowed to vote as well, you think Lamont will have the edge? Nope. And then you'll still have a mainly democrat senator; the only change will be that he doesn't count as a D anymore when you tally up the senate. Remember Jim Jeffords? A 50-50 Senate is much different animal than a 50-49 one. Might not Lieberman change affiliation for the good of the party? He could. But he also might remember how the Democrats treated him in this primary and tell them to pound sand.

The Democrats had a primary and the Republicans won it.
