Lowest Level in 30 Years

The red arrow points to roughly Nov. 2006 - the time when Al Gore was warning us about increasing hurricane activity.

*The voluminous evidence now strongly suggests that unless we act boldly and quickly to deal with the underlying causes of global warming, our world will undergo a string of terrible catastrophes, including more and stronger storms like Hurricane Katrina, in both the Atlantic and the Pacific.
-Al Gore

Soooo... this is the kind of track record on which we're going to base doubling energy prices? And if we're going to suck 650 billion dollars out of the economy through carbon taxes; why is only 150 billion going towards ameliorating CO2?

On the upside, oh crap, there is no upside.
