Remember that raid into Syria? It's a little bold to cross borders with force, even when you've got cause. Good news though:
An Al Qaeda coordinator in Syria who was wanted for sending operatives, weapons and cash into Iraq was captured during a U.S. strike, but it was not clear whether or not he survived, a senior U.S. military official told FOX News.
Abu Ghadiyain, the target of Sunday's Special Operations raid in Sukkariyeh --about 4-5 miles away from Syria's border with Iraq, was at one point in the custody of U.S. forces, the official said. However, another U.S. official from a separate agency said Monday that latest intelligence shows Ghadiyain was killed.
It's good to know that Bush is doing all he can to leave office with the most stable Iraq possible. I suspect he is guarding against the prospect of a new administration letting Iraq slide into anarchy, civil war, or, even worse, Iranian control. So-long Abu, say hi to Elvis for me.
In other military news: mechanical pack-drones, is there anything they can't do?
Best bit: pack-drone on ice at about 1:30. I have trouble shaking the feeling that inside this thing are two very athletic guys with kazoos.
