Democrats in Action

Looks like the sweet glowing goodness people are climbing down from their unicorns and rolling up their sleeves in order to do the work of democracy this weekend. As you probably remember from your civics class, the most important component of our system of governmental checks and balances involves dumping trash on the lawn of people with whom you disagree.

See, Boehner needs this intimidation because he hasn't passed a continuing resolution. Well sorta. Actually Boehner (the House) is the only body that has passed a continuing resolution. The Senate and the president haven't come up with a plan, but are more than happy to stop Boehner's bill. Course, the Dump Trash on Boehner's Lawn event is scheduled to go on even if the government doesn't shut down, so I suppose bills don't matter so much once you've come up with a really great idea like strewing somebody's lawn with garbage. Who says the Democrat Party can't come up with good ideas?

I don't know if you've read the comments, but the video of Obama in a radiation suit a little ways down the page was blocked from being posted to facebook because it was reported as "spam, or offensive material". See now that's just silly. It was just a funny video, and it would have been funny if George Bush was in the radiation suit. But anyway, some people have thin skins I suppose and they reported it. Silly children.

Now this event really does violate the facebook terms of service. It encourages vandalism, so I've reported it. I urge you to do the same. Just scroll down to the bottom of the page and click "report event".
