It's true; correlation does not imply causation. I believe CO2 does have some affect on temperature. Some. But the fact is, global average temperature correlates much more closely with the number of pirates extant. And if you want to save the world, well, we're gonna need a bigger boat. (more pirates)

(no need to point out, this graph has several problems, but still, wouldn't it be best to err on the safe side?)

I am very concerned about the effects of piracy, just as I am concerned about deaths through hanging, strangulation and suffocation. I'm sure we're all very concerned, since these things can bring such pain and hardship to those affected by these acts. We know that Global Climate Change is inarguably occuring, and that we've achieved consensus on the effects of turning our backs to the forcing effects of carbon dioxide on world temperatures.

As the oceans rise, as forests turn into deserts, I'm concerned about the increase in piracy, hangings, strangulations and suffocations as we struggle to understand the far-reaching effects of anthropormorphic climate change. It's time we start addressing our concerns, since so much of the debate is settled.

And now your concerns about piracy, etc., etc., need to be addressed.

It's time Congress acted, and acted now. And if Congress won't act, we need our President to take action.

We're at a hanging, strangulation, suffocation and piracy tipping-point.
