Some say gold and black. Some say it's Ali G messing with our heads again. I say Islamic terrorist.
Thank goodness these folks are looking out for us:
The federal committee responsible for nutrition guidelines is calling for the adoption of “plant-based” diets, taxes on dessert, trained obesity “interventionists” at worksites, and electronic monitoring of how long Americans sit in front of the television.
The Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee (DGAC) released its far-reaching 571-page report of recommendations to the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Thursday, which detailed its plans to “transform the food system.”If I was a monkey, and if the comment submission page supported it, I would be hurling poo at these guys.
Quick one - won't take up much of your time. (Unless you decide to help the guy out and search around your neighborhood)

School kids want to know...
The other day I heard Obama complaining that there was no longer a place we could go to get all the news. (the "unbiased" news):
“The balkanization of the media means that we just don’t have a common place where we get common facts and a common worldview the way we did 20, 30 years ago,” he said. “And that just keeps on accelerating, you know.”Then we get the FCC looking for more control of the internet.. now it's the FEC trying to regulate politics on the internet:
Democratic Chairwoman Ann Ravel, who called the hearing, has said she wants to regulate politicking on the Internet, though she has pulled back amid a public outcry, especially among conservatives who see her move as a bid to silence center-right websites and Internet based conservative groups and news sites.Hmmm, I guess it's a good thing that Are We Lumberjacks? is a staunch supporter of the President. (I only have a problem with what he says, and does) Put it this way: I wholeheartedly support the president that Obama should be. It's not my fault he decided to give us six years worth of Opposite Day.
The Prez:
"Unless we get on our high horse and think that this is unique to some other place, remember that during the Crusades and Inquisition, people committed terrible deeds in the name of Christ."Yeah, but during the Inquisition, there weren't liberals wringing their hands and beseeching everyone to stop calling them Christians. Nobody characterized the Spanish Inquisition as workplace violence.
“It was nice of the President to give us a history lesson at the Prayer breakfast,” Jindal said. “Today, however, the issue right in front of his nose, in the here and now, is the terrorism of Radical Islam, the assassination of journalists, the beheading and burning alive of captives. We will be happy to keep an eye out for runaway Christians, but it would be nice if he would face the reality of the situation today. The Medieval Christian threat is under control, Mr. President. Please deal with the Radical Islamic threat today.”
That's why I support this guy. He came out against burning captives alive knowing full well that he might take criticism from the pro-burning-alive camp. But did he flinch? No sir. He's a man of conviction, and by golly, he's going to say what he means.
Two men exited the Audi, balaclavas covering their faces, and with professional calm attacked the face of the machine. One pried open the cash slot with a 3-foot gorilla bar, then worked it like a lever, hopping up and down with a two-handed grip. A third man knelt to assist, a fourth stood watch, and the fifth remained behind the wheel of the car, idling at a short distance behind a perimeter of security bollards. After several minutes one of the team walked up trailing a wire and two lengths of hose, which he fed a short distance into the ATM, as a doctor might intubate a patient’s mouth. The hoses carried oxygen and acetylene, and the men took cover as the gases began to mix in the pit of the machine...h/t: wetdry
