What complicates finding the answers is the news media's crusade to Get the Orange Man. I get some satisfaction when they make fools of themselves but really, this unrelenting enmity is doing us harm.
The president has been making some momentous decisions in these last few months. He's probably made some mistakes, as anyone would have considering the sketchy information we started with. He's also made some good calls, as many presidents would have. Heck even Hillary would have gotten some things right. But I can't help but wonder if some of these fundamental decisions were influenced by a (justified) fear of being ripped apart by the Harpies in the news media.
Did we take the safe path when a little bolder course of action was called for? Are we wasting resources to cover potential problems that may never come to pass?
I'd like all our executive decisions to be based solely on the best facts we have available at any given time. It would be nice if cover-your-ass never entered into it. And to whatever extent CYA does enter into it, I blame the media, not Trump.

Good to see ya again.
I restarted my blog today. Last post was just after Irma blew through. Good to 'see' you again.
