We Will Not Be Adding More to the Debt

That's what they've said. It's not their problem if you don't hear it correctly. It doesn't mean the debt won't be going up.



And now we see the reason for hiring Tim Geithner as Treasury Secretary: we need someone practiced at saying, "Whoops, I forgot about the interest payments," and "I'm pretty sure TurboTax didn't remind me."
