The charity, well-known for attention grabbing publicity campaigns such as the 'I'd rather go naked' anti-fur campaign, euthanized 1,647 cats and dogs last year and only placed 19 in new homes according to the data submitted to the Virginia Department for Agriculture and Consumer Services.
Which isn't that big of a surprise. Peta activists are about making themselves feel better, not dumb animals. I mean look at LOL catz. Look at my Cute posts. Who doesn't love animals? We all do. None of us want to see them suffer.
But who joins Peta? People who have a need to protest. Something is wrong in their lives and they don't quite know what it is, but they can scratch that itch by telling everyone else that they're bastards. Their anger finds a target and they feel a bit better.
They could do more good by volunteering at a real animal shelter. And maybe some of them do. But the point of Peta is the rage. Plus, probably some of the people in that building are making a pretty penny stoking the belly fires of the rank and file.
So solutions: For the problem of Peta - adopt a pet, pet that pet, repeat.
For the problem of math - stay away from the metric system. Stay in school.
As for protesting, save it. You'll need that righteous indignation if Fig Newtons ever go metric.

The results for last year are in. PeTA killed 1675 pets last year, along with 72 of 81 forms of wildlife. Out of 1958 animals passing through their facilities in 2012, 211 survived. Nine wild critters were released into the wild or otherwise relocated. They especially seem to hate cats, as only 31 of 1110 survived their tender ministrations.

cat hating bastards! i'll never support PETA now... they blew it.
On the plus side, maybe they are naked while they kill all these animals.
They should probably change their "I'd rather go naked" slogan to "I'd rather kill poor defenseless animals who we can't be bothered to find homes for". At least that way they will have potential lers on their side.

PETA is against pets. They would rather an animal die than live as a pet.
