Olberman a Partisan?

CBS reports on silliness at MSNBC:
Keith Olbermann has been suspended indefinitely without pay from MSNBC for making donations to three Democrats in violation of NBC's ethics policy.

"I became aware of Keith's political contributions late last night," Phil Griffin, President of MSNBC, said in a statement. "Mindful of NBC News policy and standards, I have suspended him indefinitely without pay."

OK, I'm not getting this. Is NBC saying that giving to political campaigns brings Olberman's objectivity into question? Cause that's nuts. Olberman isn't a newsman, he's a partisan commentator. Just like Hannity or Limbaugh, he gives his opinion on the news, he doesn't report it. Does anyone at MSNBC even watch his program?

Of course he's going to give to Democrats; there aren't any communist candidates for him to give to. If there's an outrage here it's that MSNBC thinks guys like Keith Olberman or Chris 'thrill-leg' Matthews are newsmen.

Give him back his job. Do it for the photoshoppers. He's our fodder.
